there is a little clip on the top of the handle, with a semi-circle cut out of it, put your finger under it and pull it up, then the channel will slide out.

Magicjeffff 07.04.10 at 3:56 am

sorbosux717 07.04.10 at 7:10 am

its just a name, nothing wrong with sorbo, but im an ettore man myself.
i just didnt want to spend an hour finding an unused screen name. keep em clear, and u be safe too.

ChileRay 07.04.10 at 7:22 am

Roger Wilco, But way do yoos think sorbo sucks ! Your not following the herd over there @ wcr are yoos ! Keep Scrubbing & Be Safe !

sorbosux717 07.04.10 at 7:32 am

ok, i getcha. just didnt want any aspiring squeegee soldiers to get the wrong idea. about the gg3, its just my preference, primarily for the smell, believe it or not. i personally dont want to say its any better than anything else, i just like a few of its characteristics a little better than most dish soaps.(i do enjoy joy, however). god bless you for using tsp, but i always find it a little hard to work with. it is, however, irreplacable in bars and such. keep on scrubbin!

ChileRay 07.04.10 at 8:20 am

sorbie-man,but soap without water is inert, without water…no clean bean…soak pinto! Water is the most essential tool to the window cleaner, this is basic. Now to the gg3…That stuff is just designer soap, yes it works…just as well as joy ,dawn, Palmolive, ect, but for tons more ! Why pay all that cash for gg3? Senseless,I’m not slamming yoos but really ! Now the best soap to use is TSP it’s cheap it cuts the grease, cig smoke, you don’t have to put a slide agent in and it leaves a shiny glint !

ChileRay 07.04.10 at 9:16 am

sorbosux-man,This is true but I was commenting on him saying that the squeegee was the first step to getting the window clean, and the point I was trying to make was that it wasn’t but that scrubbing the glass is the first and primary step to cleaning windows, if you don’t scrub well you don’t get all the dirt saturated into the water which yoos push off with yoos squeegee. The squeegee does not clean the glass ! Soap does play a big role in cutting grease, dirt and lubricating the squeegee glide.

sorbosux717 07.04.10 at 9:51 am

however, some of us dont like the ends of rubber loose. unger makes plastic end tabs for dirt cheap, and i simply love em!

sorbosux717 07.04.10 at 10:23 am

this is true, but try fanning a window using plain water, use at least a splash of something(i like gg3) to allow a little glide.

chincanca 07.04.10 at 10:39 am

i use water ,dish soap,in amoniac,in bleach,sal in peper ,

curly1r 07.04.10 at 11:37 am

I havee been a window cleaner 4 over seven years and always got my gear from SYR the best comp in world cheap as chips and very very good i can hold my hands up and say ive never had a complaint or lost a customer through equipment. and this gut who needs all this crap any way all u need is 2 blades(squeegies) 1 smurf(pad) 1 set of pockets and a bottle of washing up liquid bucket/holster.u can pik a training set up from moxhams for £15.

misterkleen01 07.04.10 at 12:28 pm

if you choose unger ergotech equipment you won’t waste all that time with the stupid brass clips. the handle holds the rubber in the channel.

ChileRay 07.04.10 at 12:30 pm

Also, rookies don’t put the squeegee face down it will nick the rubber blade and yoos will get streaks left and right !

ChileRay 07.04.10 at 12:52 pm

Tanner-Man, WRONG…..The first step to cleaning is wetting and scrubbing ! All yoos Rookies hear this…Water is the universal solvent scrubbing is key…to squeegee is the second step! Got It!
