@darkskies1989 … and also, just the right touch is needed to achieve a satisfying result.
Yes, but a jet washer won’t work on the massive amounts of caulk and silicone that a new construction like this one’s got. Nothing will ever do as good of a job as a man with a squeegee, scraper, and scouring pad. Buckets of water have worked on windows for over a hundred years.
@Boeing1123
we use those jetwashers on most of the buildings; eureka is just a bit awkward with it’s shape i guess, needs a mans hand to do the job lol
just done the house windows that was bad enough !!! massive respect for these guys .
I use to fabricate & install these same kind of window washing systems here in the U.S.A. (Livonia, Mich.) I’ve “been there & done that” many times before. One thing that surprises me though is the platform that you are using, is a solid panel design?? No wonder your worried so much about the wind in & around the building !! It has no where to pass through your platform!! Not a good design in my opinion, especially near the water, where the wind is always coming from. Great Video though !!
@altoids79762 then you might keep a wary eye cocked for relatively low flying jets
aussies got that job too….
lol
@SuperChrisquinn Washing windows while suspended like soap on a rope?
i dont think i would have the balls too but ima try to lol
i want to be a window washer for the burj dubai
truuue!
I’m the taller one in this vid, and no our wage wasnt that good! try 20 bucks an hour! i absoloutely LOVED this job though, got heaps of sick photos of sunrises over melbourne! Thanks evryone for the positive comments, i dont work on the tower anymore but it is still one of the best jobs i’ve ever had! if anyone get a chance to try it i say go for it!
Yeah but most of Australia (including the Melbourne area) is in massive drought with serious water restrictions
you’d think they would have better technology than buckets of water…Im a widnow washer in USA and we have jetwashers
these blokes must be on a decent wage have to be 50 bucks an hour at least
should try it on a rope!!!! we were the first.
i was up there ;P was f***in sick
wow…just watching that makes me feel like a scared lil bitch.
F*** that must be an awesome job
Thanks for sharing this insightful video to everyone who doesn’t really know just what goes on in a window washer’s job on a tall building. Very informative and enjoyable to watch!
i went to top of that for school thingy the other night went on an edge thing were get in a glass cube and go 3m out and u dont see anything underneth you except for an 88story drop my legs buckled in there lol
And where is the safety line, i don’t see them…? It should not be secured to the scaffold…!
This is a great insight into high rise window cleaning. It really looks like a lot of hassle having to clean those windows, not to mention scary.
I think i’ll stick to cleaning two storey buildings.
My knees were buckling even as I was watching….you guys are crazy! What a job!
